MY TOP RECOMMENDATION

Sipadan island, Malaysia.

Defined by Jacques Cousteau as an intact work of art in his documentary ¨Borneo: the ghost of the sea turtle¨, it rests upon an inactive sea vulcano in the Celebes Sea. Its vertical walls of infinite coral, the neverending turtles, sharks and schools of trevallies atract divers from all over the world to this underwater paradise. In order to preserve this island, the local authorities only allow a maximum of 176 divers per day, so advance booking is required.

As an underwater videographer, I have never found myself in such a situation as in Sipadan, surrounded by so many fish, sharks and turtles that choosing what to shoot with my camera became a blessed dilemma.
